‘Mother, I’m Joseph’ written and directed by Mohammad Reza Fartousi is ready to go on screen.
‘Mother, I’m Joseph’ is Fartousi’s first cinematic debut with the theme of Sacred Defense. The language of the film is Arabic and Zahra Al-Rabiei, an Iraqi actress, is in the list of cast members.
“Joseph is a young man who is from Baghdad. He has been arrested by the army of the Ba’ath regime for not participating in the war against Iran. Joseph disappears after a while,” a brief synopsis for the film read.
Fartousi is a graduate student of cinema from Iran's Soureh University. He has attended the workshops in film-making held by internationally acclaimed filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami. His documentaries have won numerous awards in different festivals around the world.
